The following rulaes and regulations are for the protection and benefit of all members. These rules have been established to assure safe and sanitary operation of the club facilities. Parents are requested to caution their children to observe all rules and obey the instructions of the pool manager, lifeguards and authorized personnel. The pool manager is authorized to enforce these rules. Any member unduly violating these rules and regulations will be subject to appropriate disciplinary action by the pool manager and/or the Executive Board.
I. Hours of Operation
A. Pool
1) The pool will be open in June and July from 12:00p.m.
until 9:00p.m. each day. In August, the pool will be
open from 12:00p.m. until 8:00p.m.
2) Monday through Saturday from 9-11a.m an area of
the pool or the entire pool may be reserved by the
pool manager for swim team and swim lessons.
3) The Activities Committee may designate time for
special events each month.
4) The pool may be closed for maintenance operations,
health conditions, weather, or any reason deemed
significant by the manager. Advance notification of
the closing will be given to the members when
possible.
5) Opening and closing dates of the pool will eb
determined by the Executive Board.
6) If the air temperature does not reach a minimum of 70
degrees, the pool will not open.
B. Tennis
1) Tennis courts will be open during normal pool hours.
2) Soft rubber sole shoes must be worn on the courts.
3) No tobacco, food or drinks will be permitted inside the
tennis gates.
C. Grounds
1) The grounds will be closed at 9:00p.m. in June and
July and at 8:00p.m. in August.
II. Rules of Conduct
A. Members shall drive slowly and carefully (15 mph) on the
driveway and parking area. Parking will be allowed in
designated areas only. No parking is permitted on the
grass area. Parking is permitted on Pierson Rd.
B. Food and refreshments will remain confined to the grass
areas and the picnic shelter.
C. Beer and any alcoholic beverages shall not be brought or
consumed in CLub grounds.
D. All members and guests shall give full consideration and
regard to the rights and privileges of others.
III. Guests
A. Pool
1) A local guest is defined as any person residing within
Butler County or the Edgewood School District. An
out-of-town guest is defined as any person residing
outside of Butler County and the Edgewood School
District.
2) All guests myst be registered by the sponsoring
member and accompanied by the member at all
times. Conduct of the guests is the direct
responsibility of the sponsoring member.
3) Each guest may come to the pool four times per
month. Guest fees are $4 for local guests and $3 for
out-of-town guests with a $1 reduction for arrival
after 5:00p.m. Guest fees are nonrefundable.
4) Guest fees are payable by the sponsoring member to
the pool gatekeeper upon entering the gate.
5) Parents of members, guests of members or
babysitters may enter the spectator areas without
regard to paragraphs 1-4, provided they do not dress
for swimming or sunbathing. This rule does not allow
for frequent, prolonged visits by non-members. This
will be monitored at the manager's discretion.
IV. Parties
A. Each member is entitled to book one party at anytime
during the summer. The second and succeeding parties
must be booked within one week of the event.
B. A party of up to 25 non-members of the club will be
charged $60 or the current guest rate per person,
whichever is least. A party of 26-50 non-members of
the club will be charged $80 or the current guest rate
whichever is least. Fees are payable at the time of the
party.
C. All guests must be registered by the sponsoring member
and be accompanied by that member at all times.
Conduct of the other guests is the direct responsibilty of
the sponsoring member.
V. Health and Safety
A. All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by
a parent or responsible person age 14 or older at all
times. Children ages 10-14 who have passed the basic
swim test (see paragraph B below), may use the pool
facilities unaccompanied by an adult.
B. Children under 14 year od age shall not use the deep end
of the pool until they have passed a basic swimming test
consisting of swimming one lenth or two widths of the
pool and treading water for two minutes. This test must
be completed in the presence of a lifeguard.
C. All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by
an adult after 8:00p.m. (adult 18 years or older).
D. Children age 5 and under are to be the only children in
the baby pool at all times. Anyone over the age of five
will be asked to remain out of the baby pool.
E. Any child in the big pool using a swimming aide must
have an adult with them in the water or sitting on the
edge of the pool.
F. No glass containers of any kind shall be permitted on the
concrete apron or near the pool area - Baby Pool
included.
G. Admissions to the pool may be refused to anyone with
colds, coughs, inflamed eyes, skin eruptions, infections
or anyone wearing bandages.
H. No running on the concrete area is allowed. No pushing
or pulling into the pool. No hitting or other activity
deemed undafe. Not even from the first cement crack.
I. Inflated tubes/jackets, masks, toys, goggles, swim fins,
beach balls and other paraphrenalia shall be allowed in
the big pool at the discretion of the pool manager.
Metal or rigid plastic toys are not permitted in either
pool.
J. Adults 18 and older or high school graduates are allowed
in the pool during adult swim. Adults may have a child
two or under in the pool with them during adult swim.
K. All injuries encountered with the pool enclosure or on the
grounds must be immediately reported to the pool
manager or person in charge.
L. All community recognized rules of sanitation and safety
shall be observed.
M. No floatation devices or toys are permitted in the diving
area.
N. No ball playing is allowed in the 3 foot area.
O. No on eunder the age of 18 will be permitted to smoke
on pool grounds.
P. No bicycles, skates, scooters, skateboards, etc. are
permitted inside the pool or tennis court facilities.
VI. Grounds
A. All refuse must be placed on containers provided. Please
help the pool manager keep the pool grounds clean.
B. Damage to club property including trees, fences, etc. will
not be permitted and costs incurred in repairs will be
charged to the responsible member.
VII. General
A. The club is not responsible for loss or damage to
personal property.
B. Property damage will be charged to the responsible
member.
C. No pets shall be permitted on club property.
D. Members and guests may eat and smole in designated
areas only. Please use trash cpntainers and butt
buckets.
E. All persons using the pool do so at their own risk. The
club will not be responsible for any accidents or injusry
on club property.
F. Employees of the club are bound to adhere to the
foregoing rules and regulations.
Any member violating any of these rules and regualtions shall be liable to appropriate disciplinary action by the pool member and/or Executive Board. Flagrant violators may be subkect to suspension or expulsion from the club. The above rules and regulations may be changed at the discretion and by the direction of the Executive Board.
